Ch-ch-changes.

I have badly neglected this blog, that much I know.

Most of the things I'm making these days are for orders, and repeats of hats you've probably already seen here. And anything else? Well, I always forget to post it. Also, I don't know why, but I can never get posts to flow right when I'm posting about stuff I make, so they sound weird and I don't like to do them.

So I'm gonna make some changes here on For His Glory Handiwork.

In the past I've occasionally shared a few patterns. Now, that's about all I'll be sharing!

Lots and lots of free patterns coming soon to you my lovely crocheting friends. Free patterns are about all I use, and all I want to offer to you!

I'll be adding them to Ravelry, and have an easy way to view them here on the blog. I'll also have things up like what abbreviations stand for, and helpful links to size charts and things.

I'll be sharing some other things too like links to some of my favorite patterns, and other crafting related stuff, but mostly new patterns.

Along with this change, the blog will look a little different soon! :)

Also, if you don't have a good way to follow along and get new updates for posts and patterns here, I will be making a facebook page soon too, so watch for that.

Looking forward to the changes the future will bring here! Thanks for following along!
Sarah

P.S. Two of the things I used to post about here are Block Party Updates, which can now be found HERE. And updates about my business, Handiwork for Orphans, which can now be found HERE.

Questions?? Blog posts to write??

I need some more things to blog about besides my projects and the Block Party....

Does anyone have any questions for me, any questions about crocheting, any how-to's you want me to do, and patterns you want me to create/write? Reviews on different yarns, my opinions on techniques, help with a pattern not written well, etc?? Or anything else you want me to blog about??

I need suggestions, and I want this blog to be helpful to you crocheters without recreating all the tutorials and things already on other's blogs.

Thanks for your help!

Also, feel free to Contact Me anytime with any crocheting question you have, and I'll get back to you right away so you can finish your project! :) I'm by no means an expert, but I do have a good amount of experience, and I have taught many people how to crochet. (Successfully! ;P)

Finished Friday - Starfish and a Lilypad - and a Prayer Request

If you would like to join me in this Finished Friday quest to get rid of all the half finished projects we all have... please blog about your project(s) you have finished the past week on Friday's, and come back here and leave a comment with your blog link. If this is successful, in the future I might set up a linky list you can join. Projects do not have to be projects you procrastinated on, they can be anything, sewing/crocheting/knitting or any other fiber art, and they need to be FINISHED! :)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Compared to all I got done last week, this week's Finished Friday is a little pathetic, but it's better than nothing, right?

This week I made several more of these Starfish....
And one Starfish in a different color....
I used Sugar'n'Cream self striping cotton... not too happy with how it striped out, but it'll take forever to get it so it's perfect! :)
And this Lilypad!
I had made this lilypad dishcloth quite awhile ago, but finished it up to the last 5 stitches for some reason, then it ripped out some more being stored. When I found it looking for something else, I pulled it out and finished it so I would have something that I've been procrastinating on for Finished Friday. :)

You can buy the blue, green, and white starfish, and the lilypad here and here if you would like, and 100% of the sale will go to help Lilly find a family!

I have also listed many more items on our blog, and are listing many more daily, so go check it out with the new dropdown menu (that I spent hours on) under "SHOP" over at our blog "Handiwork for Lilly". :)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Also can I ask you to pray for this sweet princess???
Her name is Selah, and she has been in a terrible accident and nearly drowned. She is fighting for her life, and really NEEDS PRAYERS!!! You can read more and read updates over at my other blog.

Do you know?

Do you know how much I hate blogs with a bad blogger? They are one of my pet peeves, yet from the looks of this blog I am one. :) I guess it's more fun to read other people's blogs (I'm following over 50 other blogs..), than to stay caught up on my own blog. So here's my promise to be a better blogger! I'm sure I've lost all of my readers, so thank you soo much if you are reading this!!!

Before I get back to crocheting in my next post, I have a few announcements.
This little boy:

Is going to be my new little brother soon! :) Yep, we are going back to EE to adopt another sweet little boy. We are going to name him Jonathan, and he will be one in July. Our paperwork was submitted to his country's government today (YAY!!), so hopefully we will be traveling in June! :) Please follow along on my mom's blog - My God is Lord.

Other announcements include my other blogs. I started Matthew 18:14, so I didn't bore my crocheting readers on this blog with orphan advocacy posts. :) And my other blog where I sell my crocheted items to help bring orphans home - I changed it again, this time to Handiwork for Jonathan. My button:

I guess that's it for now. Until next time (which won't be long!!), have a great day!

Some of the things I will be selling there are - dish cloths, pot holders, slippers, scarves, hats, sewn bags, sewn cloth napkins, baby accessories, sun hats, and much more! Please stop in at our adoption blog and read about our adoption journey! - mygodislord.blogspot.com.
