Hahahaha!

Saw these on a blog yesterday, and just had to share!!!! Wayyyy to FUNNY!

Yes, these are crocheted shorts, and no I don't think I'm gonna bother making them for my dad. He wouldn't wear them! Thanks so much for sharing Mrs G!!

Ok, now off to teach a crocheting lesson! :) Can't wait!

A Pet Peeve of Mine

I wouldn't say that I have a lot of pet peeves, but I have a few... :) One of them that drives me absolutely nuts is when a picture is taken of something crocheted, and the item is upside down! For example, Ashley took pictures of some of my crocheted items to list on my other blog - Handiwork for Jonathan. She can't tell which is the right  side and which is the wrong, so she took some of the wrong side.

The wrong side
But, since she is the best, she took pictures of both sides so I had one of the right side to list. :)

The right side

Even with this picture from my last post, I almost pulled these blocks back out and retook the picture because a few blocks were upside down.

Crazy, I know, because I'm the only one who can tell, but it still drives me nuts! :)

Awesome Pictures! :)

A couple of weeks ago, I saw Toby Mac, Third Day, Michael W. Smith, Jason Grey, and Max Lucado in concert for the "Make a Difference Tour 2010". I went with some friends and stayed the night at their house. Thanks guys!!! I was looking forward to seeing Toby, and I wasn't disappointed! I had a great time and had lots of fun! I have been listening to a lot of Toby Mac music since (I love it!!!).

The other day I was watching/listening to a YouTube video with his song "I'm for You", and I saw these awesome pictures! Pictures of Toby with a CROCHETED hat!! ;) Below are the two best pictures I could find, unfortunately on both, the top of his head is cut off. I guess it looks cooler that way.... From what I can see of the hat, it is a single crochet hat, with the top flipped up so you can see the reverse side of the single crochet and it kinda looks like it is made with 5-ply yarn, not fancy yarn like homespun, but other thicker yarn.

Now what I really want is a picture of Toby crocheting, but I think this is closest I'm going to get. :) Maybe I'll find a picture of him with a crochet vest. ;)

So true.

"Lampy"

Have you ever wondered what a creative way to recycle your yarn scarps is? Here is an idea. We love Veggie Tales here, and one movie that we have had forever is Larry Boy and the Angry Eyebrows. The other day, my sister Anna was playing with yarn scraps (because they are all over here), and she decided to to make a smiley face on on of our lamp shades. That reminded me of Lampy on Larry Boy and the Angry Eyebrows. If you haven't seen the movie before, you can watch the first part of it here on Youtube. You have to go 3:20 minutes into the video to get to the Lampy part. :-)
