If you would like to join me in this Finished Friday quest to get rid of all the half finished projects we all have... please blog about your project(s) you have finished the past week on Friday's, and come back here and leave a comment with your blog link. If this is successful, in the future I might set up a linky list you can join. Projects do not have to be projects you procrastinated on, they can be anything, sewing/crocheting/knitting or any other fiber art, and they need to be FINISHED! :)

I'm not doing so well with posting my Finished Friday posts on Friday's am I? Well this week I didn't have anything done since I've been working on all big projects. But this morning I did get another baby blanket done!
I have a newly found addiction for making baby blankets with big soft yarn and big hooks, as you can probably tell. They just work up so fast and are so fun to make! I plan to make more soon, and I think I have enough of this purple left over to make another one a little smaller.
This technically isn't something I've had the yarn for a long time, or something the that I've been meaning to make for a long time as I got the yarn at the beginning of the month at the same time as my last baby blanket. It was on sale for $5 for a huge skein, instead of $10 like normal, so we went a little overboard and bought 3 skeins of purple, and 3 skeins of blue, which Rachel is currently working on a blanket just like this one with. The yarn I used it Bernat Pipsqueak, which I will be writing a review about soon.
The pattern is 2 rows of just double crochet across, and then one row of 1 double, chain 1, skip 1, and repeat to make the holey effect. Then it has a single crochet border around it, but I might add more of a border later on. I plan on taking this blanket to fair, and then giving it to a friend who is having a baby girl in October.
Do you have any projects you finished this week? Blog about them and come leave the link in the comments here! So far I've only had one person join me doing this, but I'd love to have more!
Can't wait to hear about your projects!

It really didn't turn out that shape, honest! :) It stretches and I took this picture from a weird angle. The lighting in this picture also messed up the color. :P |

The color is much more accurate in this picture. |

I just finished knitting my first scarf this past week! Someday once I am better at knitting, I hope to sell them like you do to help orphans! Keep up the great work!
